Ironically, though Kimberly Perry gives an appropriately angry performance on You Lie, she recently told The Boot that she's never personally experienced heartbreak. "No, I have not been engaged," she said. "I would like to be one day."
"We always walk, especially with this album, along the lines of reality and the surreal," she continued. "Engagement and even deep sort of relationships always feel surreal to us at this time because we're all tied up in the music. It's something that the three of us certainly desire for the future. I think our music always has a little of a longing edge to that."
